Brian Pavlovec - President's Award 2013

Born in Virginia, in 1988 Brian Pavlovec took honors as Young Civil Engineer of the Year from ASCE Illinois.

Over the course of a 30-year career, Brian has worked with KPFF and MKA in Seattle, with a focus on higher education, laboratory, and other institutional projects.

His projects include high-tech facilities for John Hopkins University and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. With MKA, he completed structural design for the Ninth and Stewart Life Sciences Building, NAIOP's Best Technology Space of 2005 and the overall winner in its Office Development of the Year competition.

Service to SEAW includes his 2012-13 term on the Seattle Board. The 2013 President's Award recognizes Brian's work on the SEAW Seattle Program Committee, organizing several dinner meetings attracting about 100 attendees in a new "home" venue at the Hotel Monaco.
