Kenneth Tang - Life Member d. March 3, 1999, age 76


Theodore Kenneth (Ken) Tang received his BS degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Washington in 1950, followed by the BSCE from the UW and the MSCE from Stanford University.

His distinguished military career began in 1938 in the Washington State National Guard, continuing with active duty in the US Army during World War II in campaigns at Guadalcanal, New Georgia, and Luzon. His awards and decorations inclded the Bronze Star and Distinguished Unit Citation.

Ken operated as a sole proprietor in his consulting structural engineering business in Seattle, and also taught structural engineering courses to architecture students in the UW College of Architecture and Urban Planning.
